Cacao Origin: Maya Mountain, Belize

These family farmers are from two different Maya nations: Mopan and Q’eqchi, located in the region known as the Maya Mountains, which is the least developed and most rural region of Belize. Here they cultivate the ancient Criollo “Heirloom” variety, also knows as the Queen of cacao. These Maya family farmers support sustainable agroforestry and harvest their cacao with deep respect for “La Madre Tierra”. Bringing you honest, premium, sustainable 100% pure cacao.

Cacao Origin: Lachua, Guatemala

Sourced from Indigenous Q’eqchi’ Maya families living off-grid in the highlands of Guatemala, near the pristine cenote lake of Laguna Lachuá. Grown in a richly biodiverse ecosystem where cacao has thrived alongside honey, cardamom, and corn for thousands of years, these rare beans carry a truly unique and complex flavour profile.

With full traceability from tree to cup, our cacao is harvested by farmers committed to sustainable practices and the protection of their ancestral lands from extractive industries like palm oil. In partnership with Fundalachua, and through the Asodirp and K’atb’alpom community alliances, Q’eqchi’ Maya families continue to steward their environment while improving their quality of life. This single-origin cacao offers a meaningful way to connect directly with its source, supporting Indigenous livelihoods, ecological preservation, and heart-centered living with every cup.

Cacao Origin: Alta Verapaz, Guatemala

Our single-origin Qʼeqchiʼ cacao beans are organically grown deep within the lush rainforests of Guatemala, sourced from the Federation of Cooperatives in Cobán, Alta Verapaz, and Baja Verapaz. These small-scale family farms cultivate cacao trees that have naturally hybridized over generations, creating a rare blend of Criollo with traces of Trinitario, known locally as premium Guatemalan “Acriollado.”

Naturally, organically and sustainably grown, truly unique, and most importantly, 100% cultivated by Indigenous Qʼeqchiʼ Maya smallholder farmers.

We’re honoured to partner with one of Guatemala’s leading reforestation organizations, active since 1976. Their mission supports farmers in improving their livelihoods while preserving their cultural heritage and protecting the rainforest ecosystem.
