Ceremonial Cacao for Traditional Ritual & Sensory Depth

✧ Energetic Profile: Invigorating · Grounding · Opening
✧ Sensory Notes: Spicy · Rich · Earthy

🌱 Cacao Origin: Maya Mountain | Belize

Signature Blend is crafted with ceremonial-grade heirloom Criollo cacao sourced from the Indigenous Mopan and Q’eqchi’ Maya communities of Maya Mountain in southern Belize.

This region is known for its deep-rooted cacao heritage and sustainable agroforestry practices. Cacao trees are cultivated beneath the rainforest canopy within biodiverse ecosystems, reflecting generations of traditional farming knowledge and a profound respect for land, culture, and craft.

The cacao beans are sun-dried, hand-sorted, and stone-ground, preserving the cacao’s natural aroma, texture, and integrity from harvest to cup.

 Traditional Maya Spices

Signature Blend honours the timeless pairing of cacao with spice, a practice embedded within Maya ceremonial traditions.

Cayenne pepper has long been used in cacao preparations to bring warmth and intensity to the blend, adding depth and contrast to the richness of the cacao.
Cinnamon contributes a softly spiced aroma and gentle sweetness, creating balance, roundness, and harmony within the blend.
Vanilla, native to Mesoamerica, has been paired with cacao since ancient times. Its delicate, aromatic softness refines the blend, gently softening the cacao’s earthiness and completing the sensory composition.

These spices are carefully balanced to enhance its natural depth, warmth, and complexity, allowing the character of the cacao to remain at the forefront. Together, cacao and spice form a balanced ceremonial blend shaped by ancestral knowledge and sensory harmony. A traditional expression within the Herbal Cacao collection.

☛ Ritual Invitation

As you prepare your cacao, allow the process to slow your pace and soften your attention. Let the warmth of the cup become an anchor,  a moment to arrive fully in the present and reconnect with tradition.

This ritual invites a gentle remembering: an openness of heart, spaciousness for dreams, and a quiet readiness to create. Not as an outcome to pursue, but as an intention to carry with you.

Drink mindfully, honouring cacao’s journey from the rainforest to your hands, and allow this pause to weave into your day, rooted, intentional, and open.

Cacao is always best enjoyed fresh, ideally right after opening, and shared with loved ones. If not, be sure to store it in a cool, dry place.

To extend its shelf life (up to two years or more), keep your cacao away from moisture and temperature fluctuations. As a natural, preservative-free product, ceremonial cacao is more sensitive than commercial chocolate and may change in texture over time.

If it melts or shifts in appearance, don’t worry, it’s still perfectly fine to use and retains all its nourishing properties.
