This ceremonial cacao blend is made from heirloom criollo cacao sourced from the Maya Mountain region of Belize, infused with Blue Lotus in both whole flower and extract form, alongside lavender and vanilla.


The cacao beans are carefully fermented and dried to preserve their natural aroma and character. Stone-ground and prepared without refined sugar, dairy, or additives, this blend honours ancient cacao traditions while offering a smooth, floral, and gently layered flavour.

Blue Lotus has, since ancient Egyptian times, been associated with rituals of relaxation and reflection, Traditionally revered as a sacred flower, it holds a long-standing symbolic connection to awareness, intuition, and the dreamlike realms of inner perception.
Combined with the full heirloom Criollo cacao bean—never defatted or alkalised—and blended with fragrant lavender and natural vanilla, this cacao is stone-ground from unroasted beans in small batches, preserving the natural richness and depth of the whole bean. The result is a cacao experience that feels subtle, aromatic, and softly soothing in character.

Step 1: Choose your dosage:
1 bag contains 500 gram.

  • 10-20 grams = For your daily ritual
  • 20-30 grams =  For meditation or deeper focus 
  • 30-50 grams =  For ceremonial use

If you are more sensitive to cacao, begin with a smaller serving of around 10g and gradually increase as you become familiar with its effects.

Step 2: Add warm liquid: 

Warm up your water, (plant) milk, or tea on low heat (75-80°C). Then, add your dosage of cacao to your favourite cup.

Step 3: Mix, blend, or whisk:

You may prepare your cacao using a whisk, blender, or frother for a smooth and creamy texture. 

This product is unsweetened (containing naturally occurring sugars). Feel free to add any sweeteners/herbs/spices of your choice.

Note: This blend is already infused with Blue Lotus, lavender, and vanilla.

Usage Precautions:

Blue lotus and lavender may cause drowsiness. This product is not intended to substitute a balanced diet. Start with a small amount to gauge your tolerance. Avoid use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have heart conditions, or are taking medications such as sedatives, antidepressants, or blood pressure treatments. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. If you are unsure or have underlying conditions, consult a healthcare professional.

Cacao is always best enjoyed fresh, ideally right after opening, and shared with loved ones. If not, be sure to store it in a cool, dry place.

To extend its shelf life (up to two years or more), keep your cacao away from moisture and temperature fluctuations. As a natural, preservative-free product, ceremonial cacao is more sensitive than commercial chocolate and may change in texture over time.

If it melts or shifts in appearance, don’t worry, it’s still perfectly fine to use and retains all its nourishing properties.

𓂀 Key Ingredient: Blue Lotus  (Nymphaea caerulea)
Traditionally used in rituals of relaxation and reflection. Ethically sourced from smallholder farmers in Sri Lanka. Blue Lotus moves softly through the cacao, contributing a subtle aromatic layer and contemplative character that supports unhurried ritual moments and inward attention.

Within Blissful Intuition, Blue Lotus is included in two forms: a Blue Lotus extract infused directly into the ceremonial cacao, alongside 1 whole Blue Lotus flower added to each blend. This dual presence allows the essence of the flower to be gently woven throughout the cacao while also honouring the flower in its complete, physical form.

In the tropical foothills of the Maya Mountains in southern Belize, our cacao is cultivated by over 300 Indigenous Mopan and Q’eqchi’ Maya families who have tended these lands for generations. Their relationship with cacao is deeply woven into daily life, ceremony, and cultural tradition.

Grown within dense jungle environments, this Criollo cacao variety holds an heirloom designation by the Heirloom Cacao Project, and thrives among native trees and diverse plant life, creating a living ecosystem where biodiversity is naturally protected. Traditional cultivation methods are passed down through generations, guiding the care of each tree with deep respect and understanding of the local ecology.

We work closely with local producers and smallholder farmers in the region, maintaining a meaningful relationship from harvest to export. This connection allows the cacao to move through the supply chain with integrity and continuity.

Beyond sourcing, we actively invest in the communities we work with. Through our Toolbank initiative in Belize, we provide essential farming equipment to local cacao farmers supporting daily work in the field, reducing physical strain, and strengthening long-term resilience for communities.

After fermentation and sun-drying at origin, the beans are carefully hand-sorted, ready for transport to the Netherlands, where they are stone-ground and prepared in small batches. Packaging is completed by a social working team, creating meaningful employment as part of the final stage of the journey.
